Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic evidenced a scenario of increased demands on health professionals that can lead to professional burnout. This study aimed investigate Burnout Syndrome (BS) and associated factors in nursing working intensive care units (ICU) the public service during pandemic. 157 were evaluated regarding sociodemographic, occupational conditions variables, Maslach Inventory (MBI) was used. prevalence BS 45.2%, with some suffering from more than one factor syndrome: emotional exhaustion (28.7%), depersonalization (3.8%) low fulfillment (24.8%). Logistic regression analysis final model showed female gender, not having children, statutory bond, who had declared wanting leave ICU environment higher risk BS. results new added advent
